The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Innovation Incubator is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. Eight health centers (FQHCs and Look-Alikes) will receive funding to ideate, pilot, and test innovative solutions that strengthen financial sustainability.
Grantees should be innovative in how they diversify their funds, find new business lines, and develop solutions that positively impact their bottom line. Each participant must choose one of three focus areas:
- Expanding reimbursement outside of the PPS rate
- Developing non-required services outside of the scope of the Health Center Program
- Establishing or strengthening a health center-related foundation or other subsidiary business
Program Details:
- Time requirement: 80 hours total (8 hours per month or 2 hours per week), February through November 2026
- You are encouraged to come with a problem and use this program to solve it
- Team composition: C-suite champion, engagement from at least one board member, and a dedicated program lead
- Funding disbursed in three phases: $15,000 at completion of registration for NACHC’s learning hub, $10,000 for completion of in-person training, and $5,000 for completion of pitch presentation
The goal? That each participant will leave with the skills and expertise to refine the solution they have designed. Burrows Consulting is here to help health centers turn innovation into impact, creating the margin so that you can carry out your mission.
